2015 BET Awards: Here are the winners!

         

While the night may have belonged to Janet Jackson, Sunday night's BET Awards proved memorable for so many reasons.

From Sean "Diddy" Combs' epic Bad Boy reunion (not to mention his pretty nasty on-stage tumble) to Rihanna duct taping Floyd Mayweather's mouth shut and show-stopping performances from Big Sean, The Weeknd and Alicia Keys, the hip-hop industry didn't fail to turn up from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Famous presenters Laverne Cox, Zendaya, Michael B. Jordan, Kelly Rowland and more were also on-hand to honor some of the biggest names in music.

Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan had a grand opening for his $3m acquired mansion on Saturday night.  The Weija mansion which was named after the player is called “LA BASILICA DE BABY JET”.

The building, comes with two bars,a massive swimming pool that overlooks a water body and has a private access route. The footballer invited friends and colleagues to his house warming party for his 3-floor mansion.

The party which was attended by footballers such as Emmanuel Adebayor saw performance from Efya and hot DJ mixes from DJ Breezy.

After playing a few years in the United Arab Emirates league, it is not suprising at all for Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan to sign a $3 million dollar cheque with “cheeky-ease” for this impressive mansion he will call his home.

He gets a bird’s-eye view of the city of Accra in any of his balconies with a property that sits right on top of one of the McCathy Hills in Accra.

Ghanaian actress Jasmine Baroudi a lesbian? Her admirer says she’s faking!

                            

In an interview on eTv’s Late Night Celebrity Show, actress Jasmine Baroudi who featured in Kafui Danku’s ‘I Do’ movie, denied rumors that she was a lesbian, but how true is that?

On the show she admitted she had a lot of gay friends and feels some attraction towards females, saying:

“I feel some attraction towards females and it makes me happy. I’m not stepping on anybody’s toes as it makes me happy and I’ll go for it. I’m not going to sit here and brush homosexuals or lesbians except of course those who are just doing it since they have problems.”

“It’s a very sensitive matter as I have a lot of gay friends and they are cool people. They don’t come to my space as they know I’m strict. I don’t feel attracted to women sexually; every woman is bi-curious as women are attracted to the same sex. When you notice an attractive lady, you’ll definitely stare at her but it doesn’t mean you’re sexually attracted to her.” the actress concluded.

She denied being a lesbian, but from our very own research into the matter, a fan’s comment suggests otherwise.  One could refer to Ghanaweb for this particular comment.

According to a guy named Tiger One, he met Jasmine at a night club where he proposed to Jasmine. Jasmine then told him she was a lesbian, so he doesn’t know why she is faking. He also added that he misses Jasmine. We don’t know for sure how true his claims are, but you can checkout his comment in a snapshot below:

Popular comedian and On Air Personality (OAP), Afia Schwarzenegger, has opened up on what strained her relationship with former friend and fellow OAP, Deloris Frimpong-Manso a.k.a. Delay.

Both women used to be best of friends, with Delay giving Afia the lead role in the popular ‘Afia Schwarzenegger’ TV series.

However, the relationship between the two has deteriorated to such an extent that they hurl insults at each other mostly through social media platforms.

Speaking on Accra-based Live FM over the weekend, Afia threw light on what her beef with Delay was.

She said: “When I came back in 2010, I came back and contacted a friend called Scholastica that ‘ this is what I want to do ,  I want to shoot a reality show on me because then I’ve  been watching the Kardashians for God knows  how long and I thought you know what this will fly in Ghana with a very funny personality’.

“We were eating at Holiday Inn when we crossed Deloris. Then she was dating Kobby, who had a little chicken change and Kobby decided to finance the show because Kobby was financing the show, and I’m saying this on record, I had to… I used to wash Deloris’ clothes, somebody that I fed, somebody that I gave shelter. I used to clean the house of her boyfriend because then I didn’t have money and she had the money so I was her slave.”
