TV3 presenter, Nana Aba Anamoah has attacked Viasat 1 TV for nominating her station in a spoof awards called ‘Jigwe Awards.’
Her displeasure emanated from the category in which TV3 was placed in the awards which was held on Tuesday on Viasat 1’s’ This Morning show.’
TV3, alongside GhOne, Utv, Etv were nominated for the Jigwe Copy Cat TV station of the Year category.
Ms Anamoah however lost her cool on live television during a review of the spoof awards on TV3’s New Day morning show.
She fumed saying, “you are not even competition for us…You sit on your small station and I don’t know what they claim we are copying…they have a new studio that is like a ‘kontomire farm’ – so
green.
How dare you take on TV3? I mean it is the height of irresponsibility.”
Despite her co-presenter’s attempt to explain that the spoof awards was aimed at creating fun, Ms Anamaoh insisted that “no, it is not fun.”
The Jigwe Awards awarded some key personalities, individuals, organizations and events that have attracted the most headlines and have been the most talked about for various reasons in 2014.
